About Shay

This self-proclaimed “country girl” has been singing since she was “knee high to a butterfly” and her vocal stylings draw from the great vocal sheroes she became accustomed to hearing as a child…from The Caravans & Aretha Franklin to The Clark Sisters to Whitney Houston & CeeCee Winans. Though Shay remains true to her own sound, her music falls somewhere between Yolanda Adams & Mary-Mary; with an ever present message of love and inspiration that the world can’t get too much of right now.

For her upcoming project she’s working with hit producer Marque Walker, who’s produced for Beyonce, Vickie Winans, & Earnest Pugh to name a few. She’s also slated to work with grammy award nominated, stellar award winning producer Stan Jones. Shay has spent several years working as a News Anchor and Reporter major broadcast companies like ABC and Fox television affiliates. She’s been a television personality in Orlando, Memphis, Chattanooga, Beaumont, TX, where she reported and wrote people’s stories for over a decade. During those years Shay was on the front line in urban cities covering stories of pain and heartbreak in cities like Memphis, Orlando, New Orleans, and most recently Cleveland, OH where violence has left scars in communities that still haven’t healed.

From time to time you may catch appearances of Shay guest starring on reruns of the nationally syndicated shows “The Parkers” and “The Steve Harvey Show.” Shay is currently working on a book project that will uplift & inspire. She is available to perform at churches, conferences, sporting events, and etc. Shay has decided the time is now to follow her true heart’s desire as a Christian/Gospel singer because the stage has already been set!.
